Manutukutuku -

Fiona Collis

Her works are a testament to her commitment to preserving customary Māori weaving while also engaging with contemporary materials and ideas. Manutukutuku reimagines the traditional form of the Māori kite using laser-cut acrylic and LED lighting, drawing attention to the transmission of mātauranga across generations and the connection between people, place, and the heavens.
