Adult Lantern-Making Workshop with Kerry Limmer

  • Crew Community Resources 40 Te Tahi Street Whakatāne, Bay of Plenty Region, 3120 New Zealand (map)

Create your own recycled lantern for the Light Up Whakatāne Parade!

Join local artist Kerry Limmer for a fun and creative lantern-making workshop designed especially for adults. This hands-on session will guide you through crafting your own lantern using recycled materials, with plenty of inspiration and support along the way.

During this 2-hour session, you'll choose your materials and begin shaping your unique lantern creation. Once your base is built, you'll take it home to complete and add your LED lighting.

Then, bring your finished lantern back on Saturday, 5 July from 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM for any final touches before walking in the magical Light Up Whakatāne Parade that evening.

✨ A great way to get involved in the festival, express your creativity, and light up the night!

🎟 Spaces are limited to 14 participants – book early to secure your spot! Head to the CREW cafe to sign up.

💲 $30 (includes materials sourced from the recycled resources shop)
